Quick Overview of Burton Snowboards

A quick overview of Burton Snowboards:

Burton is often referred to as the ” high end ” of snowboards and snowboard gear. Carpenter first made snowboards by hand in his garage. Burton, a privately-owned company, also owns a surfing distributor. Never the less, it must be noted that Burton snowboards is still rider-owned and independent.

Burton sponsored the creation of organic terrain parks made of rocks, stumps, and logs. Burton’s professional snowboard team is also one of the largest and most well rounded in snowboarding. Burton acquired DNA Distribution, which includes Alien Workshop, and two other companies.! The Chill program was founded to provide kids with the opportunity to learn to snowboard.

I am absolutely stoked at Burton Snowboard’s 2009 lineup. Absolutely amazing, The Channel System is now available on more snowboards and the EST bindings are available in more models as well. I think one of the best choices was to put the EST on the Malolo and the Fish. These board made powder effortless as it is, now we have the smooth flex of the revolutionary EST system.

Also super stoked on Burton’s late release boards this year. One of my favorites is the Eco Nico. Super sick graphics, and best it is made of recycled materials, absolutely amazing.

Well, more to come later!
